We update the adaptation values of an automatic gearbox after servicing.
What it is
An automatic gearbox adjusts its operation to the condition of its parts and your driving style. After an oil change, servicing or repair, the adaptation values sometimes need to be reset or refreshed.
When you need it
- After changing the transmission oil
- After repairing or replacing the mechatronic unit
- Jerks or delays when shifting
- A technician’s recommendation under the service schedule
What F01 does
The service is being prepared. When it becomes available we will perform the adaptation for supported vehicles. Adaptation does not replace gearbox repair.

Will adaptation fix a faulty gearbox?
No. Adaptation refreshes settings but does not remove mechanical wear or damage.
